Air
The Mammoth-Yosemite airport (MMH) is just outside of town. Flights through Fly with Advanced Airlines flies from Burbank (BUR), Hawthorne (HHR), and Carlsbad (CLD) starting the Thanksgiving Holiday and thru the winter season conditions permitting. It is worth noting that flights do get cancelled frequently due to high winds.
United Airlines flies into the Eastern Sierra Regional Airport (BIH) in Bishop (45 miles south of Mammoth Lakes) starting mid-December thru the winter season conditions permitting.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is 166 miles (approx. 3 hour drive) north of Mammoth Lakes, CA.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is 315 miles (approx. 6 hour drive) south of Mammoth Lakes, CA.
Bus
Eastern Sierra Transit offers transportation from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport to various stops along 395 in the Eastern Sierra.
If you are flying into LAX, getting here by bus is doable and outlined on Mammoth Lakes Visitor Page.
Eastern Sierra Transit also has a FREE bus service in the town of Mammoth Lakes (Mammoth Year-Round Bus Routes) as well as bus that runs between Bishop and Mammoth (Mammoth Express). There are bus stops steps from the various classrooms we use.
